MY STORY

The driving force throughout my 20+ year career has been to empower people to be more self-aware, empathetic and adaptable leaders, regardless of their role.

From helping students master their communication skills in China to partnering with executives to build healthier cultures, I’m passionate about creating experiences that help people foster the leadership skills that make us human.

Ten years ago I felt stuck. To rediscover myself, I dove head-first into experiences that scared me: skydiving, snowboarding and improv theater. It reminded me of the impact of experiential learning—learning by doing and reflecting—and re-energized my passion for creating meaningful experiences that help people better understand themselves and the people around them.

Over the past decade, I’ve also watched as organizations have struggled to navigate major changes in the workplace—from tech disruption to the shifting priorities of millennials and Gen Z to COVID. As the World Economic Forum (WEF) reports, the skills most needed now and in the future are not technical skills but human skills (which have been historically overlooked and undervalued in the workplace).

I founded Follow the Fear to help organizations prepare for the future of work. Through designing and facilitating learning experiences that develop our most human skills, I empower more self-aware, empathetic and adaptable leaders.
